Family owned Guesthouse since 1972.Guesthouse Svala is set in a historic house built in 1923 and designed by Gudjon Samuelsson, a former State Architect of Iceland. The location is right in the center of Reykjavík on Skolavordustigur which is one of the most sought after streets in Reykjavík. Skolavordustigur offers numerous galleries, coffee shops, restaurants as well as designer and speciality shops. Just a few meters from the guesthouse is the magnificent Hallgrímskirkja, the most famous landmark of Reykjavík. Svala offers great location and friendly service. The house was renovated in 2007.
