4x4 Superjeep Express Tour
4x4 Superjeep Express Tour
Ain’t no mountain high enough!!
Duration: 4 - 6 Hours Season: All Year.
You will start by climbing on board one of the different types of Super Jeeps/trucks, a 4x4 vehicle, which has been specially modified by Icelanders to be able to travel on the rugged tracks of their country.
Many of these rugged conditions are to be found within a short distance from Reykjavík, the Capital city of Iceland, provided you know where to go!
Within minutes of leaving the Capital, these magnificent vehicles are put to the test by effortlessly climbing the 335 m/1,100 feet to the top of “’Ulfarsfell” – and once at the summit, the visitor is greeted by the sight of, quite literally, the city at their feet.
We continue, following the hot water pipe line to its source, that is to say, the apparently dormant volcano Hengill and nearby Lake Thingvallavatn (Iceland’s largest natural lake). We pause at the viewpoint situated on the flanks of the volcano itself, taking the opportunity to gaze over the geothermal plant and to view the surreal landscape dotted with steam vents and bore holes. The 4X4s will then bring you along the river Sog with its hydropower plants onwards to the hot spring village of Hveragerdi. Following a short stop at the greenhouse/restaurant “Garden of Eden” we head back to Reykjavík but not the “normal” way!
Our expert drivers take you over the ancient lava plateau of Hellisheidi. On the way, if conditions allow, we will get a last smooth bumpy ride on the “Thousand Waters Route”, splashing in the river.
Included
Pick up from hotels/guesthouses in Reykjavik and guided super jeep/truck tour.

Blue Lagoon Entrance Fee
Blue Lagoon Entrance Fee
A visit to the Blue Lagoon Iceland geothermal spa is an important part of your stay in Iceland. Guests renew their relationship with nature, soak up the scenic beauty and enjoy breathing the clean, fresh air while relaxing in the warm geothermal seawater.
It is no surprise that the readers of “Conde Nast Traveller” voted Blue Lagoon as the best medical spa worldwide. For five consecutive years Blue Lagoon has been awarded the Blue Flag environmental recognition granted to natural beaches and marinas.
The water’s temperature is 37-39°C / 98-102°F. The lagoon holds six million liters of geothermal seawater, which is renewed every 40 hours. Regular sampling shows that “common” bacteria do not thrive in this ecosystem, thus additional cleansers such as chlorine are not needed. The Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater is a part of an ecocycle where nature and science work in harmony. The seawater originates 2000 meter/6562 ft beneath the ground where it is heated by earth’s natural forces. At this depth the temperature is 240°C/464°F and the pressure is 36 times the pressure on the earth’s surface. The geothermal seawater comes into contact with cooling magmatic intrusions and captures the earth’s minerals, resulting in this unique natural source known for its healing power and actives.
The composition of minerals in the water is very distinctive and has a high level of silica. Its environment is characterized by high temperature and salinity level of 2.5% which is 1/3 of the ocean’s salinity level.

Diving in Silfra Lake
Diving in Silfra Lake
Diving and snorkling in Silfra lake!
The Silfra fissure in the National Park Thingvellir is famous for its amazing visibility and underwater landscape. About 50 kilometers from the lake Thingvellir lies Iceland's second largest glacier Langjökull. The melting water from the glacier travels for over 30 years through lava fields before it flows into Silfra. This filtering process makes the Silfra water as clear as water can be. Divers experience a visibility of over 100 meters and can drink the water on their dives.
The Silfra crack has been created by the tectonical drift of the American and Eurasien continental plates. Divers are literally diving between the continents.
The tours pick you up from your hotel in the Reykjavik area and drive with you to Silfra. Your guide will walk with you to the platform and give you a dive briefing before gearing up. Since the water is between 2 and 4°C the dives are conducted in dry suits. If you haven't dived in a dry suit before your guide will show you how to use it. After the first dive there is a coffee & cookie break before going for the second dive. The tour takes between 6 and 8 hours. All necessary equipment including undergarments that will keep you warm and comfortable underneath the dry suit is provided. Please bring warm clothes for the time on land and thick socks as well as your diving certification card.

Snorkling Silfra Lagoon
Snorkling Silfra Lagoon
The Silfra lava fissure is one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets. Silfra, which is situated in the heart of Þingvellir, the site of the world’s oldest parliament, is an otherworldly scene. The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float along with the lazy current. Frequently rated as one of the worlds top ten dive sites. Silfra offers up to 100 meters of underwater visibility and is located on top of the separation between Europe and America! After an hour of snorkeling you climb out and head back to the van. Into the Blue is a relaxing but exotic trip in an environment most will only encounter in their dreams.
Bad eyesight?
Since you are wearing snorkeling / dive goggles to see underwater there can be nothing in the way of the seal to keep them from filling up with water. That is, you can not wear glasses underneath the goggles. You will have to go without them, wear eye lenses or bring your own goggles with prescription.
What is snorkeling?
Participants swim in specially made dry suits through the crystal clear water, wearing thick down suits to keep them warm. You breathe through snorkels to have an unobstructed view of the landscape beneath the water level and everyone swims with fins to make things easier.

Whale Watching Husavik
Whale Watching Husavik
Experience the original Húsavík Whale Watching tour that has given the town the reputation of being Europe's whale watching capital. Enjoy the magnificent wildlife and stunning scenery aboard a renovated traditional oak fishing boat.
The Original Húsavík Whale Watching tour has given the town a reputation of being Europe’s whale watching capital. Join one of our boats and experience the wildlife in Skjálfandi Bay where you have the opportunity to get in close proximity to the world's largest animals. Whale Watching is now one of the most popular tourist activities in Iceland.
North Sailing started whale watching in Skjálfandi Bay the year 1995 aboard the oak boat Knörrinn, which is the oldest boat. Whale watching has since become very popular and the number of passengers has increased year by year. As a consequence the oak boats are today six instead of one, and two of those are traditional schooners.
In the beginning the minke whale was the most common whale in Skjáflandi Bay but in the last years more species are frequently seen. For instance the humpback whale, certainly one of the most popular whales as it normally raises the fluke before deep diving and occasionally waves the gigantic flippers or breaches from time to time.
The bay is also a great destination because of the birdlife and scenery. There are two islands in the bay, Lundey (Puffin Island) and Flatey (Flat Island), where a lot of birds nest. Therefore the birdlife is colourful, puffins, arctic terns, guillemots, gannets and more are frequently seen during the tours. The beautiful mountains at the western part of the bay, called Víknafjöll, make a visit to the bay even more worth while.
