Greenland Day Tour

Visiting Greenland, one of the World's harshest but most beautiful countries, is a thrilling adventure and a unique experience which leaves the visitor spellbound.  So why not tie it in with your trip to Iceland and experience an even bigger adventure?


The day tour takes 8 hours and includes a two hour flight to and from Kulusuk, on the east coast of Greenland, the home of the Ammassalik Inuit.  Here, guides will escort you from the airport to the village, where local residents will show you their quality crafts.  Weather permitting, there are kayaking demonstrations plus an ancient drum dance reflective of the indigenous culture.

On the return trip, you will enjoy spectacular views over huge glaciers and floating icebergs (weather permitting).

Only a two-hour flight from Reykjavik will take us to Greenland's beautiful East Coast, home of the Ammassalik Inuit.

  Kulusuk is the gateway to East Greenland and the small settlement is an excellent introduction to the way of life in a settlement in the Ammassalik area. Kulusuk lies on a small rocky island between saw-toothed mountains and extensive fjords, and it is almost always surrounded by icebergs and a glittering Arctic Ocean.
