8 Days Around Iceland Guided Tour
Day 1: Arrive in Iceland You arrive in Keflavik airport. Spend one night in Reykjavik city center. Transport from the airport to hotel is included. Day 2: Highlights – Reykjavik – Golden Circle – Hvolsvöllur (around 250 km) On day two you will visit the historical Thingvellir and nature phenomena, the waterfall Gullfoss and Geysir area.
One night at Hotel Hvolsvöllur or similar Day 3: Highlights – Hvolsvöllur – Vík – Kirkjubæjarklaustur (around 170 km) Your day begins with looking at Seljalandsfoss (waterfall) and than Skógafoss. There is interesting museum at Skogar.Not far from Skogafoss is Dyrholaey which is not far from Vik í Mýrdal. Many puffins nest on the cliff face of Dyrhólaey.
One night at Hotel Laki or similar Day 4: Highlights – Kirkjubæjarklaustur – Skaftafell - Jökulsárlón – Djúpivogur (around 315 km) Today you should visit Skaftafell and walk short walk to Svartifoss(waterfall). We will go on a boat trip on the amazing Glacier Lagoon.
One night at Hotel Djúpavogur or similar. Day 5: Highlights – Djúpivogur – Egilssatadir – Mývatn (around 310 km) From Djupivogur we will head on east to Egilssatadir. Egilsstadir is young town with over 2300 inhabitants. Myvatn is next stop where we will spend one night at Sel Hotel or similar. Day 6: Highlights – Myvatn area – Godafoss – Akureyri (around 170 km) Mývatn is a nature wonder and many places to see. We will look at Krafla volcano, Dimmuborgir, Námuskard and more. From Myvatn we will drive to Godafoss (waterfall of the Gods) and spend one night  just outside  Akureyri.
One night at Hotel Skjaldavik or similar. Day 7: Highlights – Akureyri – Reykjavik (around 430 km) On the last day we will drive on tha main road to Reykjavik. In Skagafjordur we will look at Glaumbær which is farmhouse since the Age of the Settlements (900AD). We will also have a look at Reykholt where our famous poet and politician Snorri Sturluson use to live.
One night in Reykjavik. Day 8 Transfer to the airport.
