Day 1 Arrival in Iceland. Overnight in Reykjavík at one of our 2 Fosshótels or similar.
Day 2 Drive via the golden circle to the south. Stop at the golden waterfall, Gullfoss, the Geysir hot springs and Þingvellir National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight for 3 nights at Fosshótel Mosfel,l or similar.
Day 3 Explore the Þjórsárdalur with its stunning waterfall Hjalpafoss and the viking ruins of Stöng. Enjoy the oasis Gjáin with its green surroundings and the exhilarant waterfalls.
Day 4 Take a ride over the Reykjanes peninsula to Reykjavík. On this peninsula you will see the powerful hot spring area in Krysuvík, and the Blue lagoon, where you can stop for a relaxing bath.
Day 5 Proceed further to the east. Travel on Road #1 along the southern coast of Iceland and stop in Vík to take a walk on the black sand beach. Overnight in South Iceland for 2 nights at Fosshótel Vatnajökull, or similar.
Day 6 Spend the day in the cosy town of Höfn. Visit the Glacier museum in the town centre and relax in the hot pools just outside of Höfn. Overnight for 2 nights at Fosshótel Vatnajökull, or similar.
Day 7 Take a trip on the cape Ingólfshöfði and watch the puffins. Drive back to the glacier lagoon and take a boat trip in the lagoon. On your way stop in Brunnhóll for a glacier ice cream. Overnight at Fosshótel Skaftafell, or similar for 2 nights.
Day 8 Use the whole day to enjoy the Vatnajökull area in the national park Skaftafell. Here you find nice paths for a hike with spectacular views and the beautiful black waterfall Svartifoss.
Day 9 Drive along the scenic south coast to Reykjavík, where you will spend the last night. On your way you stop in Skógar and visit the popular folk museum, as well as Seljalandsfoss, where you can take a walk behind the waterfall. Another option is to drive through the highland via the pearl of the Icelandic highland Landmannalaugar. Please note that this road is 4x4 only and only opens in summertime. Overnight in one of our 2 Fosshótels in Reykjavík.
Day 10 Enjoy the day in Reykjavík. Here you find museums and galleries as well as coffees or restaurants. Visit the Laugardalur area with its farm animal zoo and the big swimming pool.
Day 11 Depart for home.
