Old Iceland Restaurant is most notably renown for its mouth-watering lamb dishes.

Fish & Co

If you’re looking for something quick, delicious and easy, Fish & Co is a great place to go. The concept of Fish & Co. is a parked food cart that only serves one dish: pan-fried cod with garlic, butter, spinach, and cherry tomatoes. If you see it, just make a pit stop and order one. You will not regret it.

Gallery Fiskur

If you’ve been to Iceland before, you’ll know that fish dishes are some of the locals’ favourites and Gallery Fiskur is one of the finest spots in Reykjavik for such meals. Owned and operated by father Ásmundur and son Kristófer, the pair were originally fishmongers who after eight years in the trade decided it was time to share their expertise on a menu.

Another great spot for something quick and easy while you’re on the move exploring Reykjavik, Icelandic Street Food is exactly what it says on the tin. You can find traditional meat soup, fish soup and fish stew and of course, the famous Icelandic hot dog that everyone deserves to try at least once! It doesn't get more Icelandic than that.

KROST

Located in the Klemmur Food Hall on Laugavegur in Reykjavik, KROST is a grill and wine bar serving a delicious range of dishes for those wanting a dining experience a little different to your average ‘sit down’ meal. The menu is divided into three main sections: hamburgers, small plates and mains and promises all ingredients are locally sourced. For us, the KROSTI burger is a must have!
