Hotel Geysir

Only having opened 1st of August 2019, the resort is already making waves (or eruptions we should say!) in the stunning country of Iceland for its contemporary interiors and fantastic location in one of the country’s most coveted regions.

The dining room is another fantastic addition to the architecture for its views onto the hotel’s garden. There is also private dining on the rooftop terrace which provides an unmissable 360-degree panorama of the area and the herb garden.

Hotel Geysir’s most notable feature is its location right beside the area of Geysir, one of the greatest natural attractions of Iceland for which the hotel is named after. The indescribable spectacle geyser known as Strokkur is also nearby so you can easily watch as it spurts water 30 metres into the air every few minutes. As well as geysers, there are hot springs including the stunning turquoise-coloured Belsi in the area.

During the months between September and March, you may also be lucky enough to witness the breathtaking Iceland Northern Lights. This phenomenon is much easier to catch at Hotel Geysir thanks to its remote location perfectly complimented by its geothermal activities.
