Here's everything you need to know before travelling to Iceland...
To qualify to be exempt from travel restrictions, testing and quarantine requirements on account of vaccination a person must meet the following criteria.
- Be fully vaccinated with a WHO/EMA approved vaccine
- The final dose of the vaccine was administered more than fourteen days ago (only one dose required for Janssen/Johnson&Johnson)
- Provide a negative PCR or antigen test prior to boarding. You are not required to be tested at the border or to quarantine upon arrival. The test must be taken less than 72 hours to boarding. Please note that a self-test is not sufficient.
- You will need to get a negative Rapid antigen test before returniung home. These are available in Reykjavik (Suðurlandsbraut) and in Keflavik at a private facility. Results come through in 15–45 minutes and you need to pay in advance.
- All arrivals into the UK must fill in a passenger locator form.
