Twin centre self drive itinerary with time to visit Reykjavik and the Golden Circle before heading northwards along the ring road to Husavik. Return by same route or fly back.

What you'll do
Reykjavik and Husavik Twin centre 8 nights 9 days.
Day 1. Arrive at Keflavik. Collect rental car or transfer by fly bus. Stay 2 nights in Reykjavik.
Day 2. Enjoy a city site seeing tour and leisure time.
Day 3. Drive the Golden Circle. Then in the late afternoon drive west towards Snaefellsness and stay en route to Husavik.
Day 4. Drive on the Island ring road north to Akureyri . Stay 3 nights in either Akureyi, Husavik or Myvatn.
Day 5. Time to explore the wonders of this region. Whale watching trip from Husavik.
Day 6. Explore more of the Diamond Ring of Husavik Dettifoss, Europe's mightest waterfall - The Jokulsargljufur National Park and Lake Myvatn.
Day 7. More time to discover the north, drive back towards Reykjavik. Stay 1 night en route.
Day 8. Continue journey to Reykjavik and stay in town or close to the airport and the Blue Lagoon.
Day 9. Fly home to UK.
