Interior Adventure via Hot Springs

What you'll do

Interior adventure 10 nights, 11 days. Traverse Iceland via Hot Springs inc. Golden Circle, Hveravellir, Husavik.

Day 1. Arrive in Iceland

Arrive at Keflavik. Collect rental car or transfer by fly bus. Stay 2 nights in Reykjavik.

Day 2. Reykjavik Sightseeing Tour

Time for a city sight seeing tour and leisure time.

Day 3. The Golden Circle

Drive the Golden Circle. Then in the late afternoon drive west towards Snaefellsnes and stay en route to Husavik. 

Day 4. Akureyri

Drive on the Island ring road north to Akureyri. Stay 3 nights in either Kureyri, Husavik or Myvatn.

Day 5. Explore North Iceland

Time to explore the wonders of this region . Optional tours available.

Day 6. Diamond Ring

Explore more of the Diamond Ring of Husavik.

Day 7. Blonduos

Drive to Blonduos and change car in Akureyri to a 4x4 suitable for interior crossing. Stay the night prior to crossing in Blondous or Saudarkrokur.

Day 8. Interior Crossing

Drive across the interior of Iceland via highway 35 stopping to bathe in the hot springs at Hveravellir. The route passes between the glaciers of Langjokull and Hofsjokull and continues to Gulfoss and Geysir. Stay 2 nights in one of the Golden Circle hotels near to Geysir, or Hveragerdi.

Day 9. Relax

Day at Leisure.

Day 10. Back to Reykjavik

Return to Reykjavik and stay the last night in town or near the airport and the Blue Lagoon.

Day 11. Fly Home

Fly home to the UK.
