Fly drive adventure with internal flight to East Iceland
What's included: Trip distance 600 miles Eastern Fjords South Coast and Blue Lagoon
For those wishing to Explore Eastern and South Iceland but would like to minimise the driving we can offer this combination of a fly drive and internal flight to make the most of the enjoyment of seeing Eastern Iceland and the South Coast. This involves taking an internal flight at the beginning of your holidays from Reykjavik to Egilsstadir in the east. The emphasis is on spending a maxium of 2 nights in the south and a longer duration given to you in the east of Iceland. The following itinernary example can be reduce or increase as you wish. We recommend a minium 7 night stay.

What you'll do
Flying Tour 8 nights 9 days.
Day 1. Fly to Iceland from Uk and take the fly bus, stay 1 night in Reykjavik.
Day 2-4. Take an internal flight from Reykjavik to Egilsstadir. Collect a car rental from the airport. Stay 3 nights in Eastern Iceland based in Egilsstadir and enjoy the charm that the east has to offer.
Day 5-6. Drive south to the harbour town of Hofn and stay 2 nights.
Day 7. Drive along the South Coast past sites such as the iceberg lagoon at Jokulsarlon and Skaftafell National Park then on to Vik where you stay 1 night.
Day 8. Drive back to Reykjavik and stay 1 night at the Blue Lagoon to round off the holiday.
Day 9. Return to Keflavik and fly back home.
* This package is based upon an internal flight on your outward journey, however it can be done in reverse if preferred.
