Reykjavik Tour & Northern Lights by Boat

The tour takes only about 2 hours, departing from Reykjavík´s old harbour in our new, fast and luxurious boat Rósin, viewing the beautiful coastline of the capital on the way out to search for the lights. In only 15-30 minutes we will be on a prime location away from the city lights, perfect for viewing the auroras. We provide complimentary hot beverages on the trip; coffee, tea or hot chocolate as well as special Icelandic treats. Also included are warm overalls since it does get chilly in the winter and usually much of the time is spent outside gazing at the night sky. We have a cozy and warm seating area inside the boat and we are dedicated to making the trip an enjoyable experience for everyone, therefore it is subject to the right weather conditions.

When the northern lights forecast looks good - but it is too windy to go out on sea - we will still take our customers out for a northern lights tour on a bus and they will also get to go out on the boat as well next available day.

Pick up at hotels and guesthouses 45 minutes prior to departure. Drop off after day tours may sometimes not be right in front of your hotel/guesthouse due to narrow streets and actual coach size used during the tour.

Important note. If the this tour is cancelled or curtailed at the first attempt the tour can be taken the next night or another night during your stay. It is your obligation to take the tour on another night which is offered. The tour cost is non refundable if you choose not to take the tour on an alternative date.
