Reykjavik Brewery Tour

A holiday to Iceland would not be complete with a Brewery Tour from Reykjavik. This tour is completely unique to anything else you can do in the city centre, allowing you to experience Iceland’s unique drinking culture and try some of the country’s most famous beers.

The history of beer in Iceland is a fascinating one since Icelander’s were prevented from drinking it for much of their past. Learn more about the country’s history while joining us on this Reykjavik beer tour so you can experience the magic of Icelandic beer for yourself!

Please note that alcoholic beverages are only served to those who have reached the country’s legal drinking age, which in Iceland is 20 years old.

What is included in this Iceland Reykjavik Beer and Brewery Tour?

  • Sample the micro-brewery’s unique beers
  • Tour the micro-brewery where some of Iceland’s award-winning beers are produced
  • Relax at one of Reykjavík’s finest bistros in the heart of the Old Harbour
  • Enjoy the view of the Old Harbour’s historical vessels, from coast guard ships to old fishing boats

What are the best beers in Iceland?

Your choice of tipple is completely up to your own taste, but Iceland is renowned for its exquisite selections of beers. There are hundreds of different breweries in the country who are behind some of the most delicious lagers and ales on the market.

Some of the best beers in Iceland are thought to be Lava Beer, produced by the Olvisholt Brugghus brewery in Selfoss. It is a pitch black beer flavoured with dark chocolate, roasted malt and smoke, with a dark brown head. Another favourite Icelandic beer is Gædingur Stout for its fusions of flavours which include caramel, chocolate, coffee, and earthy, almost straw-like tones.
