Skaftafell Lodges

Thirteen private, two-storey lodges are spread across the property, each with an uninterrupted glacier view and a fully equipped kitchen — a rare combination of privacy and comfort this deep into Iceland's glacier country.

Each lodge is built over two levels: a superior double suite upstairs and a living area with kitchenette on the ground floor, giving guests both a quiet place to sleep and a proper space to cook, relax, and plan the next day's adventure. Rooms come with free WiFi, heating, private bathrooms, satellite TV, and bed linen and towels included. The whole property is smoke-free, and free parking is available on-site.

This is a base camp built for travelers chasing the real South Iceland experience: glacier walks on Vatnajökull, blue ice caves, and black sand beaches are all just minutes away, along with Svartifoss Waterfall, Svínafellsjökull Glacier, and the Skaftafell Nature Reserve itself. Vík í Mýrdal and the rest of the South Coast are an easy detour from your doorstep.

Breakfast and dinner are served at Adventure Hotel Hof, about 15 minutes away by car — advance reservation is recommended so the kitchen can plan for your stay. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
