T-125 Around Iceland in 15 days / 14 nights

Day 1 Arrival in Iceland. Overnight in Reykjavík at one of our 2 Fosshótels, or similar.
Day 2 Explore the scenic Whale fjord and the saga valley Borgarfjörður. Spent the night in the Borgarfjörður area at
Fosshótel Reykholt, or similar.
Day 3 Explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula with its snow-capped volcano, stunning coastline, lava fields and bird colonies.
Overnight in a 3 star hotel in Stykkisholmur area.
Day 4 Take the Ferry Baldur in morning to travel relaxed to the Westfjords. Stop at the small beautiful Island Flatey. After
you are on shore again drive further to Patreksfjörður. If the time allows drive further to Europe’s largest bird cliff
Látrabjarg. Spent one night at Fosshótel Vestfjords or similar.
Day 5 Get impressed by the stunning fjords while travelling to the North of this nice peninsula. Stop at the most beautiful
waterfall, Dynjandifoss. Pass a lot of small communities until you reach the capital of the Westfjords, Ísafjörður. Stay
here for one night in a hotel of the same category as Fosshótel.
Day 6 Today you will leave the Westfjords again. You will drive along the picturesque fjords in the North back to the
mainland. In the area of Hvammstangi will you spend this night in a hotel of the same category as Fosshótel.
Day 7 Drive via Blönduós and Sauðárkrókur to Siglufjörður, the herring-fishing capital of Iceland, and visit the historic sites
of Hólar as well as the stunning sites of Tröllaskagi peninsula. Overnight at Fosshótel Dalvík, or similar
Day 8 Visit Akureyri, the capital of the North, and the waterfall of the gods, Goðafoss. Overnight 2 nights at Fosshótel
Húsavík or Fosshótel Laugar, or similar
Day 9 Go for a hike in the Mývatn area and get impressed by the stuning view over the unique landscape. Optional whale
watching cruise from Húsavík in the evening (June - August).
Day 10 Drive around Tjörnes peninsula and visit Europe’s most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss (mid June to August) and drive
further to the east. Overnight in Egilsstaðir, the capital of East Iceland.
Day 11 Explore the lake Lagarfljót, the longest lake in Iceland. Afterwards proceed further along the scenic fjords of East
Iceland. Overnight in Fosshotel Vatnajökull near Höfn, or similar.
Day 12 Enjoy the Vatnajökull glacier, with the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón and the Skaftafell National Park. Take a trip on the
cape Ingólfshöfði and watch the puffins. Stop on your way in Brunnhóll for the famous a glacier ice cream. You will
stay tonight at Fosshótel Skaftafell, or similar.
Day 13 Drive along the south coast and witness many natural wonders such a black lava beaches, waterfalls and glaciers.
Stay in a 3-star hotel in Selfoss / Hella area.
Day 14 Visit Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot springs and Þingvellir National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spend the last night in Reykjavík at one of our 2 Fosshótels, or similar
Day 15 Enjoy Reykjavík, or explore more of the south on the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the Blue Lagoon before you
